- Colour scheme - pink - intertextual reference to Mean Girls - in keeping with the brand's style - creates a strong sense of brand identity
- Mise-en-scene - school setting - further reference to the school setting within the film and the musical - predominant setting - high sense of verisimilitude - further reinforced by school skirts
- Body language - represents the girls as a stereotypical clique - judgemental pose - always sticking together
- Tag - "Exclusive" - engages target audience's interest
- Original typography - creates a strong sense of brand identity across the brand's multi-media presence - intertextual reference to the font used by Mean Girls across the marketing and advertising for the films and musical
- 'meet the plastics' font and the lipstick print symbol is an intertextual reference to the burn book, which is an iconic prop within the film and the musical, a reference which my target audience would recognise (see below)
- Category - TV, film and theatre - links to the entertainment genre - makes the website and content easy to navigate
- Date - October 3rd - intertextual reference to a date famous from the Mean Girls movie - the main character asks the boy that she has a crush on what the date is in the film on October 3rd in a maths lesson
- Quote tag - 'the plastics are back' - intertextual reference - this was used heavily on the marketing and advertising for Mean Girls 2 - therefore target audience would recognise the link and also the tag links with how the main feature is about a reunion
